Hi, my name is Ms. Welcome. 

 

 

This is my first full year teaching at Ichabod Crane.  I live in Albany and love to make the journey each day to see all of you in Valatie.

My first love is reading.  I love to read all different kinds of books and share my opinions with other people.  I also love to play and watch tennis.  I played tennis in college and have been to the US Open many times.

It is my goal this year to make Language Arts lots of fun for all my students.  The other goal that I have is to make sure that you all learn a lot.  Language Arts consists of reading, writing, listening and speaking.  I am looking forward to a great year!!

Standard 1 - Students will read, write, listen, and speak for information and understanding
  • Write letters, directions, articles and summaries to transmit information
  • Listen to lectures, discussions and interview to interpret facts and ideas
