• Welcome to 6th grade Social Studies!  S.S. this year is really interesting and you will learn so much about the world and how to be a good global citizen. This is my second year at Ichabod Crane Middle School and I looking forward to a challenging and fun year. Teaching is my second career.  I worked on environmental issues, especially the clean up of the Hudson River, for about 18 years before deciding that I wanted to spend my days with 6th grade kids.  I have three daughters, one in college and two in high school, a husband, two dogs, two cats, a bird, a hamster and too many fish.  My family coaches, plays and cheers a LOT of soccer and I love the NY Mets!!
